After losing his father at a very young age, Choi Oh-sung (An Jae-wook) soon was struck by another tragic loss when his mother passed away shortly afterwards. Even though he manages to become a respected doctor, he is still unable to overcome his mental affliction. Kim Young-joo (Lee Eun-joo) is another desperate orphan who in addition has to face the fate of suffering from incurable stomach cancer. Miraculously these two depressed existences stumble into each other in a lonely hearts' bar, express sympathy for one another, gradually speak out their mutual hardships and finally fall in love
